I ran out of washer fluid in my 2012 vw jetta and when I refilled it it's like the switch doesn't work now. When I pull on the stalk it does nothing.

Assuming the washer fluid is topped up, can you hear the washer motor buzzing? If you can then could be jets blocked or pipe come off! Is there water leaking under car?

Did they connect the power to the pump?
yes it could be a fuse.

doesnt have one its a dealer only special tool to refill the box

I would suspect you have a defective ignition starter switch, this is the main switch the the ignition key cylinder operates and it powers up the while electrical system,. It is under the steering column covers.

I suggest only using power steering fluid in the power steering system in VW Jetta's. I tried using trans. fluid before and it made the pump wine constantly especially when cold and I had to purge the system and refill it with power steering fluid to get it to stop.

First you need to check the fuse, check if the washer pump is engaging, do it by putting the ignition of (do not start the engine) and get someone to hear near the washer bottle ( where you put the fluid) for any sound of a spinner coming on when you use the stalk to put on the screen wash, if there is no sound, locate the pipe coming to the nozzle and see if the fluid comes when you use the stalk, if nothing than your washer pump is gone.

while someone is pulling the stalk, use a meter or test light to check for voltage at the washer pump, located on the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. if there is voltage, the pump is bad. if no voltage, it may be a fuse, bad switch or a break in the wiring.

on a 2007 VW Jetta with a 2.5 engine. How do you refill the transmission. After draining the pain, cleaning it ,changing the filter and reinstalling the pan. I can not find a way to check the fluid level or to refill the pan to the proper level.
