I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana both low beams n both fog lights went out same time after hitting a bump, well my dad had van running and was pulling fuses on passenger side door and now it don't auto lock when driving and all my lights keep flashing. The door ajar, hatch ajar, change engine oil, low brake fluid. He said unplug battery for a few minutes plug back in to fix but it didn't. FYI headlights was blown bulbs. I wouldn't care but gas gauge messed up and I know I am low when it dings low fuel light while driving but it don't ding now just appears with the other flashing lights I mentioned above. Any ideas?

This sounds like a body ground in issue concerning the headlights. Check the BCM fuse for the other problems. These sound like the body control module is malfunctioning.

Take your father down to the local pub and leave him there then take the car to an accredited auto electrician to have it fixed NO honestly this is the best idea as it will cost less eventually to have it fixed professionally

SOURCE: low beam headlights not working on 2004 Pontiac Montana extended

You headlight lamp have a diffuser mechanism which allows it to flip between the hight beam and low beam feature of the bulb. In fact, you high beam will function even if the low beam is not working.

I would recommend the purchase of the new headlight lamp. It would cost you you any where from $15.00 per unit to get a replacement lamp

Sounds like some wires are damaged due too chafing or moisture. Trace the wires starting at the lights looking carefully for damage. Sometimes the spot that's chafed is difficult to find so look very closely at the wires.

2004 Pontiac Grand Am High Beams and Fog lights do not work

Check the relay that powers the high beam, if memory serves me the relay is shared between those two circuits. You can swap the relay with a known good relay to prove if that is the issue.

Head lamp wont work

Try replacing bulbs they could have both gone at the same time,I think it takes a 9006 bulb. You could check by pluging low beam plug into high beam bulb if it works the low beam bulbs are gone

How to change fog light bulb

Open the engine hood and you'll see there is a plastic housing holding the head light ans side light to the frame. There are two wing nuts and one wing bolt holding it all together. Remove those and pull the headlight and side light housings out from the frame. You'll be able to access all of the lights now.

This sounds like a loose connection/bad wire somewhere for the low beam lights. Can't really give you more information without seeing the vehicle, and wiring diagram for the circuit. Usually, things that go on and off when hitting bumps are connection/wiring problems. The fact that one of your low beam headlamps burnt supports this theory. Bad connections or wiring mean lower voltage, thus higher amperage at the bulb, motor or whatever it's running, which makes them burn a lot quicker.
