Starter switch is faulty. (not to be confused with the key switch), or The passlock sensor in the igniton lock cylinger may fail causing an anti-theft system fault and a no start condition

Why wont my 2002 olds alero start when its cold out

One of the coil packs or the ignition module is probably bad. Test for spark when cold. If no spark on any coils suspect the ignition module or crank position sensor. If spark is gone on only one coil check the plugs and wires to that coil pack. If theplugs and wires are ok then replace thge coil pack. Don't forget the obvious load test the battery and clean the battery connections. If the check engine light is on run any diagnostic codes and repair

96 Stratus, has some power, but won't start. How do I know if this is the starter, a loose connection, or something else? Dash lights and headlights works, but nothing else. It doesn't make a peep when I...

test battery first ,make sure it good,if battery is good then check for power at starter, two wires one has power all the time from batt, now have someone strat hold key in crank position and test for power at small wire, if you have power then starter is no good replace it, hope this helps.

Seems like the car is staying in "ACC" (accesory key position)

BFC that body function controller. BFC batt fuse controls .the body function controller .its part of the PCM.the BFC controls anti theft system. your interior lights -drl lights- radio -door locks.if your check engine light is on take it to dealership.because your BFC and PCM works together. your car could shut off. that unsafe.when you on a busy highway.you have electrical problem.not a home fix.

2000 ford windstar won't crank over, but pats keys good, and batt.

First thing I would check is to see if you have power at the trigger wire of the starter motor while someone is trying to start the vehicle for you. It will be a Yellow with a light blue trace. If you do then I would check to see if the main battery cable has power to it all the time when someone is trying to crank it. If it does then I would hold a test light on the case of the starter motor and have someone try to crank it. Make sure that the ground you use for this test is on the negative battery terminal not just anywhere on the car. If the test light lights while you are cranking it then you have a bad ground. Hook up a set of jumper cables from the battery negative terminal and clamp it directly on to your starter motor and see if it starts. If you check it and the test light doesn't light up and all the other checks are good then your starter motor has failed. If one of the other tests has failed then you have a starter relay problem or something else. let me know what you find out.

1006 olds cutlass supreme won't crank

try taking a power wire from the battery positive and getting it on the starter terminal and seeing if the starter turns over if it does it could be a fusible link that runs between the starter terminal and the relay
