I have a clicking noise coming from what seems to be the transmission when I move in reverse. Nothing when I move forward and checked the the fluid level and it was fine. All forward gears seem to work fine. Any help would be appreciated. 1995 Mercedes-Benz C280.

Have the brake system checked. Drum brakes do this. Transmissions don't.

Car is making a high pitched whining noise and does not shift, checked the fluid and it is ok ... help

HIGH PITCH WHINNING NOISE IS FAULTY TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP.HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE CHECK AT A TRANSMISSION SHOP.IF TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP TOO WEAK OR MALFUNCTION.YOUR TRANSMISSION WONT HAVE ENOUGH OIL PRESSURE FOR FORWARD GEAR , REVERSE GEAR, BAND OR SHIFT VALVES IN VALVE BODY.NOTHING WILL WORK TRANSMISSION.OIL PUMP LIKE HYDRALIC PUMP KEEPS EVERY THING WORKING..

I have a 96 Taurus that will do reverse all day long but won't go forward. It did move a little while the fluid was cool but when the fluid gets hot it will not move forward at all. Changed the filter...

If the fluid level is full and it will go in reverse but not forward then I would say that you most likely have an internal mechanical problem that would require removing and repairing the transmission. It's possible that a clutch pack, seal, planetary, or other mechanical item has failed. It would be a good idea to contact a local transmission repair facility and have them check it out to be sure but I strongly suspect that it needs to come out and be repaired. Good luck, hope this helps!

I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder that has 4 wheel drive. The truck will go in reverse but it won't go forward and there is a rattling noise coming from the transmission. What cold that be?

If you have reverse, and no forward movement, and noise coming from the trans, you have some type of internal trans failure. Fluid condition, and level should be checked. Also you can remove the pan on the transmission, and inspect it for signs of failure. But at this point, I would definitely say you have something gone wrong with the trans.

You need fluid!! The high pitched noise yu hear is air in the hydraulic sections of the transmission. Top up the fluid then find out where the leak is

NO TRANSMISSON

Hello;
With no forward and no reverse, first check the fluid level. Start the vehicle and leave in park, with thee engine running, pull the transmission dipstick and make sure you have full fluid. If you do, then you have an internal problem in the torque convertor or transmission itself.
Did it make any noise when it quit on you? Hope this helps, rate me highly.
Thanks;

When i put my car in reverse it won't move but will drive forward perfect and is full of transmission fluid

Assuming this is an automatic transmission, odds are you have lost a band in your transmission, this will require a rebuild,  you may also notice it will fail to shift into high gear as well?
