on the front of the engine on the drivers side there is a cover over the pulley that drives the water pump. The water pump is mounted in the coolant crossover behind the thermostat housing. A special tool is required to remove and install it.

The water pump is on the front driver's side of the engine. It is spun by a small belt driven from the end of the cam shaft. You will see a cover up and to the right of the oil dipstick. That covers the pulley. Follow the belt and you will find the water pump. It requires a special tool to replace.

FOR THE 4.6L ENGINE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING LOCATION IS NEAR THE WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT ON TO COOLANT CROSSOVER HOUSING.

looked it up online and looks like it's on the front of the water pump in a thing called the coolant inlet housing. one end of it looks something like the letter y and the other end, where the thermostat is round. hope that helps

Its on the same side of the engine as the transmission, driven by the belt up top. It requires a special socket to remove the pump from the housing.(also, the pump turns clockwise to remove!)

Water pump is located on rear of the engine. faceing the car it is between the radiator and the head. It is driven by a small belt. It is removed by removing a cover plate that has the radiator host and by pass hose connected to it. it takes a special tool to remove and install this item. it is available at most auto stores. approx. 2 hour job and somewhat a hard job . see the haynes manual for this car very detailed on how to change the waterpump. jim
