My son has a 1990 oldsmobile regency brougham. the blower motor and radio shut off in tandem for no apparent reason, but sometimes when hitting a bump. they come on again, sometimes when he hits a bump or may stay off. any thoughts on what to look for?

There are controls for the radio, heater, blower on the steering wheel, is that right? IF so,might consider taking the screws out from the back side of the steering wheel. There should be foam insulation there and if it has gone bad allowing the contacts to touch, that may be the problem. Let me know

Have you checked the connections? Make sure they are fully secured.

Testimonial: "I checked the connection on the back of the radio and it seemed fine. my sense is its something/somewhere different as both the blower and the radio act together."

consider starting the car and then get under dash and jiggle wires to radio and blower to see if you can recreate the issue. Also check that the battery is strapped down tight and the terminals are tight and clean

How many gallons of oil do i put in a 1990 oldsmobile 98 series regency brougham

-4 Gallons ...? Sounds like too much. You mean 4 Qtr..?

But any way. Don't expect the same amount that you pour in. because due to trap some in the filter, possibly the engine already
burn some and may be some leak.

Good Luck

Most likely the float in the tank is stuck. You'll need to pull the fuel pump out and fix the float.

Car shuts off while driving, but will immediately restart.

that happened to me and I solved the problem by replacing the computer. It cost me $40.00 out of a junk yard and it has been running perfect ever since.
