SOURCE: I want to wire 2 driving lamps into my discovery

Instal a relay (preferably in a mounting socket); Wire one side of the control coil to the +12v mainbeam 'on' circuit.
Take the other relay coil control connection to the additional 'Driving-lamp on' control switch (switched to ground).
Supply relay contacts 'common' with a fused +12V from battery - use wire with sufficient current carry capacity to feed driving lights. Connect switched +12V output to the driving lamps.

SOURCE: Discovery II. Wiper blades get stuck and dont retract

You meant the wiper do not park? That is a problem with the motor assembly, which is responsible for parking the wipers. The switch just turns it on, and off.

Fog lights not working on 2006 Nissan Maxima

The most likely cause is a 'short' in the wiring. Remove the light fitting and take a good look at the connections on the actual light fitting. Look for dirty or damaged parts. Check the wires and the connector blocks are clean, shiny and are not damaged. Then check the light fitting itself for damage. Check the seal where the light fitting fits against the bodywork. If moisture or water is getting past it can affect the lights.

I have a 97 escort that is not prewired for fog lights and i have noticed a wite harness for power mirrors that is not being used Can i use this to power my fog lights and connect a switch?

i wired my front fog lights on my escort van using the rear fog lamp switch u change the actual switch to the double switch(front an rear fog switch) if you buy this off a scrap car you cut the wiring and connect rear fog plug to bottom of switch and connect front fog wiring to the top plug.

Put new foglights on my 2002 hyundai elentra gls but dont know how to wire them

First of all, did the vehicle previously come with fog lamps? I'm assuming it didn't. Normally, each YM (Year/Model) Hyundai wiring harness is complete for every feature which might be included with certain trim specifications. However, you probably don't have the multi-function switch which has the 'Fog Lamp Switch' on it (Left Hand Turn & Parking/Headlamp Switches). However, the wiring for the fog lamps is probably there, you just need the multifunction switch which contains the fog lamp switch. The illustration attached shows where the wire harness plugs into the fog lamp bulb. This connector may be taped up in the wire harness out of the way (since I'm assuming the vehicle didn't originally come equipped with fog lamps).

Wiring diagram for spotlights on a discovery I/II (1999) Would like to mount and wire the spotlights up so as they come on highbeam only, and would like to connect it into the ' rear fog light ' switch....

You can find factory wiring diagrams here (free RAVE Download) http://www.landroverresource.com/ And sure you can wire your spots into rear fog switch, depending on watts/draw of your lights you might want to "UP" the fuse rating

I need the wiring diagram for a 2006 ford f150 xlt super crew headlight in order to wire oem fog light harness to headlight harness to get my fog lights to work.

This is the diagram for the fog lamps ( headlamp is a different cell ).
If you are trying to add them to the existing wiring, do not expect the headlamp switch to cab fuse panel wiring to be there ( that is usually what is missing when you can find the fog lamp connectors under the front of the truck ).

File Save as so you can magnify it with the JPEG viewer you use.

Does a 2000 f 250 have a connection for fog lights in the wiring harness if it did not come with fog lights

There may be a connection in the harness or a place to connect the cabling, but what you'll find out is that the light switch is different for the trucks that have fog lights from the factory. They have a pull-to-activate function for the fog lights and an indicator led on the switch that shows the fogs are illuminated.
I would suggest purchasing an aftermarket fog lamp kit with the entire package...switch, wires, relay etc..cheaper in the long run... not too hard to wire on these either...the toughest part is feeding a wire thru the firewall... but even that's not too difficult.
Hope this helps...

Where does the hot wire for aftermarket fog lamps get wired in? hoping to use one of the empty buttons on the dashboard.

The factory wiring harness for the fog lights may already be there, if not you will need a relay and usually the relays have wiring instructions with them, if not the aftermarket fog lights DO have instructions on how to wire them, however you may need a wiring diagram for your vehicle, get a haynes manual it will have it.

How to factory wire fog lights on a 2000 ford f150. pig tail, relay, and fuse are there. Only no wiring from fuse box.

This is a common problem on 97-00 MY trucks, regardless of the trim level ( XL, XLT, Lariat ).

If you install the fog lamp fuse in the BJB ( aka Battery Junction Box, Engine Compartment fuse panel ) Fuse # 9 ( 15 A fuse ) and jumper the normally open contacts in the fog lamp relay socket ( see diagram below ) the fog lamps should illuminate ( to confirm what you have doing on ).
8491ddd.jpg
The problem usually is the main headlamp switch to the BJB is not in place ( this is the yellow wire from the main headlamp switch connector to the relay socket pin #1 ).
One easy route is to make an aux lighting relay & harness, or purchase one online. With this, you can cut the factory ends and attach them to the harness you purchased. There is an air inlet next to where the steering wheel column runs through the firewall. This would give you an easy route to the fog lamp switch. The fog lamp switch, you can buy the factory one, and change the yellow wire from the connector to your added relay, or just add a switch for this function.
This will give you an idea of what the DIY relay and harness would look like.

Hope this helps, more than confuses at this point

Fog lamps won't turn on

OK, you will need to first check the fog light wiring harness. make sure there are no worn wire lines or connections, replace if you see noticeable flaws in the wiring harness. Next, check the clip that fits over the back side of the fog light bulbs. Make sure that the inside copper pins are in good condition and, the the fit is tight. replace the wiring harness if these clips are worn or not fitting properly.

If the above inspections show no apparent wiring harness issues, you will then need to check for bulb failure. make sure that your fog light bulbs are operational. if the bulbs are ok, replace the switch.

Please rata and have a great day:)
