flywheel is dowled pined to crankshaft so it goes in correct position.so cant get that wrong unless someone has removed dowel pin.
timing mark on front pulley in middle of pulley aligns up with mark in front timing cover, and cam should have dot or "B" (depending on year) that aligns up with outer edge of head when TDC No1 firing. in this position the injector pump if common rail has dot on gear that aligns to casting mark on pump near where shaft for gear comes out of pump (can only see when pump is removed) white texta mark the tooth with the dot and fit pump while all other marks previuosly mentioned are still in correct position, in side of bell housing there should be an inspection nut or plastic bolted tear drop cover to remove close to chassis rail look inside with mirror and torch and white texta marked tooth should be in middle of this inspection hole to confirm its not a tooth out.
