Trunk open by itself

Your going to have to try and crawl in there and get to the lock mechanism itself. If it doesn't open with the emergency release cable its going to be a pain. Obviously its jammed up somehow, to free it up without damaging anything will be a struggle. A long screwdriver with some pressure in the right spot on the lock itself while a assistant operates the release may do the trick.

Do you have a button on the trunk itself? Mine wont open from inside car, but I have a 2011 checy cruze, and theres a button under the trunk, that pushes in and it opens

try using the security lock so you can only open the trunk with the key. there is a latch on the inside of the trunk you swich.

There is a "wire harness" that leads to switch that opens the trunk. Unplug this. You will have to open trunk manually tho. Key only like the old days,

is the button stuck or check the ajustment on the trunk latch to make sure its locking all the way

sounds like your remote. the trunk button is stuck on it can you pop the remote open and se if the button is stuck on the chip
