The 2007 Lincoln MKX is definitely towable "4 down". According to the owners manual: The ignition switch needs to be in the accessory position (position 2 of the 4 possible positions) so that the steering wheel is able to turn to let the front wheels track the towing vehicle. The transmission needs to be in "N" so that the engine's disconnected. The parking brake needs to be off, and the engine should be run for 5 minutes before starting out and "at fuel stops". This makes the vehicle a good vehicle to tow along with you behind your motorhome. The folks at Blue Ox make an excellent tow "baseplate" that is practically invisible yet hooks up easily to the motorhome. The BX2192 package is made specifically for the '07 to '10 MKX. The filter is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box door, squeeze the upper rear corners inward. The door will come forward, and lift it completely off. There is a release tab on the right side of the filter access door. Open that and remove the filter.
