A couple live wires under the fuse box in the engine compartment were chafed and made contact withe body of the car
There should be a fuse for the power supply for the ECM. However if you know of the chaffed wires then it is best that you do something about it . If the power wires are before the fuses then there could be an electrical fire and after the fuse then you will keep blowing fuses and stop what ever those wires support.

Review the 1998-Discovery-Owners-Manual-Section-4 (page 24 and next) The fuse is Nº 14 / 10 Amp for Instruments / Clock / Speed transducer.

No need for a diagram, to drain the oil, there's a drain plug on the bottom of the transfer box, under the handbrake drum. To fill, the fill plug is about in line with the centre of the handbrake drum and to the left. I think both plugs are 1/2" square. Fill to overflow with Texaco Multi-Gear 75W/90R. Takes about 2L or so.
