If you mean the fuel door... if it is not unlocking make sure the key is on and pull the fuel door button on the driver's side door. Button should be next to the rear hatch button. If it is not releasing check your fuses. If you need fast access remove the carpeted side panel inside of the rear hatch and you will find an emergency release.

when the small spring that flips the fuel door open when the button/ lever is pressed/pulled ,it gives the impression that the control is not working. Check out the problem by having someone operate the control while you are listening at the door. If you hear the latch moving then the spring is broken/missing. You may be able to get to the latch by removing the boot trim and moving the latch enough to open the door.

Does not have a fuel lid button. If it will not open it is usually the lock solenoid is not working. You need to remove the interior panel inside the car behind the fuel filler. You will see a solenoid that you can unbolt and remove to open the door. The solenoid will need to be tested.

Some cars will have an emergency fuel door release in the trunk it will be on the side of your fuel door

Could be that somebody tried to pry open and damaged the door removing your fuel

I had the same problem. I fixed it by removing the fuel filler door switch and cleaning/sanding the contacts. You don't have to remove the door panel, just remove the 4 screws on the door panel, reach up and pinch the sides of the switch and push it out. Use a small screwdriver to pry off the black piece holding the contacts (you might want to wear gloves) in place. Remove the contacts and sand them lightly. Very easy to do and completely solved my problem.

you are doing it right the key should be in ignition at position 2 for about 5 seconds no more than 10 removed hold unlock slowly press unlock 3 times if a door lock actuator or even the fuel door lock actuator is malfunctioning it will not work check these with driver door lock cylinder (fuel door lock does not function with central locking button) all doors should be in same locking position to perform this proceedure first try locked then unlocked hope ive been a help

the reset button of the fuel is located is under the clove compartment near the door trim passenger side.remove the plastic door trim,u see the red push button type switch

there is a cabel in the trunk that you can pull to open door same side as fuel door usly has yellow handel on it say fuel door

Pop out the window buttons part of the armrest and disconnect the wires. Do the same with the trunk and fuel door buttons. Pop out the two little plastic/rubber whatever they are pieces out of the door pull strap and remove those screws. There's another screw on the bottom edge of the door and the outer edge by the reflector. Pop the bezel out from around the door handle and there's another screw. Pull out and up on the door panel. If you don't know your door code now would be a good time to write down that 5-digit number on the lock control box. You might not have to pop out the button panel or trunk/fuel buttons if you can get your hands behind the panel and take the harnesses apart but you a bad dude if u can.
