Have a 2001 Chevy blazer 4.3 I changed the fuel pump and filter and the spider all new and it still won't start unless I use star ding fluid and when I stop spraying it quits

A couple things you might wanna check...double check to make sure you have no blown fuses...assuming they're all good, it is possible your Mass Air Flow sensor could be bad/faulty...fuel line pressure check...make sure all the fuel injectors are seated properly and working...clogged/bad fuel filter...when you turn the key to run can you hear the fuel pump "priming" the system? If not, possibly a bad fuel pump...and/or faulty wiring.

it could be a fuel pump they are quite common on the chevy trucks and SUV's. If it has a "Vortec" engine which it probably does, they run whats called a poppet nozzle fuel injecter that requires i think no less than abaout 53 psi of fuel pressure to run, you would have to put a fuel pressure guage on it to be sure and they are quite expensive

If you have the spider fuel system, I'd check that first. That system is noted for problems. Key on engine off fuel pressure-- 60--66psi ,
Also, the fuel poppet valves can stick.

If you mean the fuel filter then YES that could have vary likely been your problem .Its always good to change this these vehicles are known to have fuel pump issues and there a pain to replace and not cheap. Never let the tank run completely dry eighter you have a 2001 the pumps last 10 to 12 years at best so keep this in mind

Just put in a new water pump, the old was leaking some terrible. Changed the spark plugs and wires. I put in a new distributor cap, the other one was cracked, and I put a new rotor in. I added a MAS sensor...

It sounds to me that your control module is bad It is located on the left side facing the engine on top of the intake

Problem is usually caused by the regulator in the spider head. It may not be installed correctly, not getting enough vacuum from the intake upper manifold or is failing. Start by checking the vacuum at the manifold.

could be a bad coil wire... usually low fuel pressure, maybe a plugged fuel filter. either of these are common on these vehicles
