I have a 2000 Honda civic I have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor, spark plugs and I am having problem with random(hot or cold) extreme hard starts to the point of battery completely drained have to jump and crank again finally starts runs great for couple day then all over again any ideas?
When it does not run check for spark if you have spark check fuel pressure. it as to be one of them for it not to start. I have a 1991 civc with 1.5 4cly doing the same thing. need more information to help more

Try pounding on the gas tank with a rubber mallet or similar tool. (careful not to dent the tank) Try starting it. If it runs, replace the fuel pump (it's nfg). I've diagnosed numerous fuel pumps this way. Remember the pump needs to be replaced, if you drive it, you don't know when it'll fail for good. Hope this helps. Please post the results.
