It sounds like you need a tune up, Spark plugs and wire and cap and rotor, fuel filter and clean the EGR Valve. I'ld say the EGR valve is dirty with carbon which is common in the 95 JIMMY"S and BLAZER"S which also means the throttle body needs to be sprayed down with throttle body cleaner, not carb cleaner since it's to corrosive to the gasket on the throttle body. Keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions you may have and good luck friend.

95 gmc jimmy, press on gas to excellarate rpm dont move

I would say your rpm sending unit is bad. It may just be loose. You would have to check the wires to make sure.

1995 GMC Jimmy 3.5L HO - lots of engine clatter, very low oil pressure - 10-30 on dash gauge from idle to 3000 rpm, oil full. Oil pump problem or major repair??

if the noise is coming from the oil pan you may have bad rod bearings or main bearings or the oil pick up tube could have also came loose but since you have oil pressure im gonna say your looking at replacing or rebuilding the engine witch is a major repair.

My 96 jimmy studders and does not want to change to the 4th gear when in drive, when in overdrive it wont change to 5th gear(overdrive)will the tps sensor do that

Make sure the engine is running right, sometimes they wont shift if the engine is missing or losing vacuum. Sounds like the computer system is sensing there is not enough torque to shift into the higher gears so it is preventing it. This could be caused by your engine not running right under load, bad gas, bad plugs or something that is causing your engine to miss under load

1995 gmc jimmy-won't accelerate wants to stall

could be the fuel pump ...you will need to do a fuel pressure test on it ..the pressure should be 63 anything lower even so much as a few lbs will cause this to happen ...as well if it sat that long i would consider a complete tune up and check all vacuum lines for dry-rot

91 jimmy starts cold, runs rough hot, dies when put in drive

Try to unplug the mass airflow sensor and start it. It will idle higher but should run fine. If it works then you need a MAF sensor. Be sure you have an OBDII code puller to clear the computer when done
