O2 Trailblazer key fob will not work when rear hatch is down 1/2 way to fully closed. License plate lights also stay on at the 1/2 to closed point. I can lock doors from drivers door but will not lock rear hatch but it does latch shut. Once fully open to just before about 1/2 shut, the license plate lights turn off and the key fob works on all doors. Ty you all for any help.

2014 Compass The interior lights stay on and the gate won't open. What could it be?

Car thinks door is closed, press "lock door" on key-fob to shut off all lights & have radio running. Remember to press "open Hatch" button on key- fob before actually closing hatch to automatically flip hatch latch back to the open position.

Get Door To Open With Dead Battery So I can pop the Hood Switch

I imagine the obvious answer is to use a key in the door lock cylinder. The reason you have done this is because there is no door lock cylinder! You only have a fob is my guess, that electronically opens the doors. Dead battery..and the fob no longer works. Don't worry, examine your fob and there should be a way to open it. Carefully open the fob and surprise! There is a key inside of it! Now take that key and there ahould be a key lock cylinder above your rear license plate. You should be able to open your rear hatch. Now somewhere to the drivers side in the rear compartment there should be some sort of pull you can use which will open the drivers door. Hope that helps you out!

My trunk/hatch release will not work on my trailblazer also liscn plate light

There should be a fuse also do you have a key fob. With rear hatch button on does that work if not check fuses for the body controller. Also check for power and grounds at rear hatch motor/actuator .
Good luck Steve

The rear hatch on my 2003 Ford Focus wagon won't release from either the dash release or the remote on the key fob. Still opens with the key. The rear wiper stopped working at the same time. Also, light on...

Before doing any other troubleshooting on a 2003 Ford Focus hatch release problem, try THIS... The hatch release button is a triangle. Push the button on the very bottom point of the triangle. For some reason, mine did not work when pushed in the middle and only works when I push it at the very bottom point... slightly off in any direction and it does not work. Strange but true.

My battery is dead and I was told of a key inside of the remote to get in above the license plate key hole, but I can't find the key inside the remote. How can I get into my car?

A key should have come with the key FOB used to open rear hatch, lock glove box and center console. If don't have that key, you can jack car up, apply power to positive terminal of starter and a chassis ground, and the FOB should work.

Why does my keyless entry not work? it's not a dead battery in the FOB, also the radio does not stay on after the engine is shut off, and the rear hatch does not fully lock. The car acts like a door is...

it's possible the battery clip has "Fractured" from the connection to the PC board in the fob. find an Electronics tech and have him check it out. a simple resolder may cure the problem at a cost FAR LESS than the cost of a new FOB
