The Fix went the Belt comes off it may slip behind the Balancer..Even when you replace it damage can happen to the Crank sensor...You will still get spark..But the Spark will be out in timing to fire at TDC..We just removed the EF Falcons and yes Damaged..The Spark plug was firing but not at TDC replaced the sensor NOT ALL GREAT..

SOURCE: removing alternator 1993 ford falcon EA wagon

first disconnect battery, remove wiring loom from altenator the slacken V belt tensioner bolt so altenator swings free then undo the two bottom bolt or one long one depending on model.easy ,now the difference between sunday mechanic and a mechanic undo the two screws that hold the regulator/brush set housing and renew the brushes providing the commutator is servicable.

You must have one pulley out of alignment, or else one of the pulleys you replaced doesn't have as many ribs as your belt, or you are getting it on crooked, or not the right way. Make sure you have ribs to ribs, and flat to flat.

SOURCE: how do you get on a fan belt on a renault clio 99

hi from uk unfortunately your assumption is correct! you do have to 1st remove the p/steerpump belt to be able to change/renew the alternator belt not too difficult just a little patience needed and a few bandaids/plasters ? for the scratches on hands if you have large ones as i do ?

Hi, I have a ford falcon station wagon and the window wipers stopped working which included the back one and the sprayers! so I took it to a garage and they said the fuse had blown they replaced the fuse...

It is because of a short in the wiring system of the wipers. If you have an Ohm meter, check for connectivity between each of the front wiper blades and fluid pump. If you don't have one, tell the people at the shop to fix it.

Once you find the one that is shorted, replace the wires to that device and the fuse and all should be well.

Good luck!

Removing the steering off an fg falcon?

Hi,

You actually need special tools to do this which only a Ford dealer would have at the moment.
The airbag system or SRS needs to be disabled before you can remove the steering wheel airbag module.

Sorry mate thats the only option you have.

Thanks

How do you replace a driving belt on a 1999 AU ford falcon

start by unplugin the electric fans then remove the two 10mm bolts holding them in, the bottom of the fans are held in by a slot that they sit in so after you remove 2 bolts just lift the fans out. then you will see a tensioner i think it has 3/8 drive square hole in it( could be 1/2'' drive) just pull it down with a long bar with a 3/8 end on it to release the tension, while doing that slide the belt of,. if your car doesnt have a picture diaghram on the under side of the bonnet for drive belt routing draw a picture incorprating all the pulleys an how the belt goes around them. once the belt is of put the new one on exept over the power steering pump pulley, then pull on the tensioner again to release tension and slide the belt over the p/s pulley. these instruction are for the 4.0l falcon motor, the 5.0 v8 is really similar
