I have a 1999 Ford Expedition and the headlights aren't working. When I turn them on the park lights only come on.I have to turn on the high beam lights and hold them in order to have lights. What could be the problem?

I do not see a fuse or relay just for the passenger side high beam I would think it is the high beam headlight bulb.

Low beams would be through the dimmer switch on the column. If your relay was bad you would have neither low or high beams.

It sounds like the headlight relay, in your under hood fuse box you will find this relay, identify it and then have an assistant turn the h/l on and click to high beams then back to low and see if you hear the relay click. If not that's the problem. Now it could be the switch it self but that is a little more complicated diagnosis.

The problem will be due to a malfunctioning headlight dimmer switch and a dimmer switch connector. Also check the high beam connector.

-It burn out. Replace new one.

some times just the low beam filament in the bulb will blow out and the high beam filament will continue to work. Buy new bulbs.

go to an accredited auto electrician for electrical work
it may be a switch problem but I think that there is no power to the light relays ( switch or fuses)
if that model has a light control module , it could be that

maybe you pushed the high beams on. if its not that check the dimmer switch
