Wiring diagram I am looking for a wiring diagram in particular the wiring from the back of the 30 amp fuse to the connector in the right hand door being a right hand drive car. The 30 amp fuse is good but I am unable to get any power at the switch connector on the door. Can anybody tell me which colour wire is the power into the switch. Thanks Norm

SOURCE: Hyundai 2002 sonata,,,, car has power locks.

You are correct in your assumption about a relay... there are two relays. One is for 'LOCKING' the other is for 'UN-LOCKING.' They are both labeled as "LOCK" relays (1 & 2). You can verify if a relay is bad by swapping one with the other. If the problem moves to 'unlocking' the doors, but will NOW LOCK - the relay is bad. If not, further troubleshooting is necessary.

SOURCE: Elantra power windows work from door switches but fail from main

It was very srange, but all the contacts inside the switches of the main power window console (mounted in driver's door) were covered with soot.
I have disassembled the switch and cleaned the contacts. All functions well now.
The problem occured on a car that is used very rarely, that was most probably the reason of the sudden failure of the system.
Replacement of the main power windows switch would do the same but I have saved the expense this time. Hope the repair will last until I will sell the car.

You don't required to search for the wiring diaghram. These are standard in the wiring harness from the manufacturer. You need to look for the socket which may folded inside the console in front of you. Fix the audio in position and connect the cable socket for your new audio.

I have a 2003 mustang gt that keeps blowing my 30A maxi fuse and it cranks but won't start

You will have to cover every circuit that fuse protects, until you find the shorted device, motor, component, or the wiring with it that may be shorting to ground. A maxi fuse can be for a particular heavy draw, like the headlight switch, or rear defroster, or it can be a power distributor to potentially many other circuits, which may have their own smaller-amp fuse to protect the individual circuit. In short, you badly need a wiring diagram that shows that maxi fuse and all its dimensions.

You may find some help here with a wiring diagram. http://www.bbbind.com/technical.html

Go to TSB's & wiring diagrams, agree to end user license agreement, next pg. click on wiring diagrams, and enter vehicle information in the drop down boxes. Look for diagrams under Electrical Distribution, subsystem- power distribution. You can start there, lots of wiring diagrams for every system on your car. It is a huge free database for every car (almost) going back to 1986.

Wiring diagram

In cavity 1, the 30 amp fuse has no power with key on? A wiring diagram shows that fuse gets power right from a wire from the ignition switch, with key on.
Wiring diagrams here: http://www.bbbind.com/tech_database.html
You just have to agree to license agreement, go to "technical information". To TSB's and wiring diagrams: enter year, make, and model-make sure you are on wiring diagrams, not tsb's, then pick the diagram you want to look at. Every wiring diagram on your vehicle is available.

None of my electric windows work. Checked the fuse. Could it be a relay?

There is no relay, and there is no fuse for the power window circuit, there is a 30 amp circuit breaker in the fuse panel under the dash and the circuit breaker should be marked WDO on the fuse panel.

First check to see if there is power from the 30 amp circuit breaker to the master window switch on the driver door, and if power is getting through the master window switch.

If there is power to and through the master window switch (use a test light or a power probe would the best tool for the job), then there is most likely a broken wire inside of the weather boot that is between the door and the body of the vehicle, and the wires run in from the door through the inside of the weather boot and then through a hole on the body of the vehicle that is located behind the driver side kick panel, and the wires should be inspected from the wire connector behind the driver side kick panel out to the master window switch on the driver door for any broken wires. If you do find any broken wires be certain that they are soldered back together and do not use wire connectors to repair the wire(s) unless you want to repair the system again in about a month or two.

Here are two wiring diagrams (if the vehicle has rear vent windows then use the upper diagram) of a typical GM power window circuit for that year to help assist you, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Cooling fan is not coming on at all how do i wire it up to come on when car is started and stops when car is turned off

Here is a wiring diagram of how you should by-pass that cooling fan by using a toggle switch, and you can get a fuse holder and use a 30 amp fuse instead of a 30 amp circuit breaker, but you should use the circuit breaker since you are no longer using a relay, and if there is a voltage spike the circuit breaker will reset itself, and a fuse will blow out and you will have to change it. Most auto parts stores will carry the 30 amp toggle switch and circuit breaker, also be sure to use 10 ga. wire and do not forget the wire connectors that you will need to attach the wires to the toggle switch, the circuit breaker, and to the battery as well as the connection to the cooling fan wires.

This wiring diagram is very basic and you should be able to follow it with little difficulty, and you should also dis-connect the cooling fan at the wiring connector to the cooling fan and connect the by-pass wiring directly to the cooling fan motor so that you do not run voltage back through the stock system. Let me know if you require further assistance.

1997 expedition, rear wiper motor does not run...trying to find wiring diagram of wiring to rear motor, specifically if there is a connector somewhere up under the headliner toward the back of the car that...

There could be a number of issues to look at. Does the motor work or is it a broken wireor is the fuse blown or bad ground to wiper motor. Check fuses first if O.K. go to the rear door panel & access the motor. Once there check the ground connection & make sure motor is well grounded. Turn motor switch on & using a probe tester check to see if power is getting to motor. If it is not, go to the wiring harness flex point between door & frame & pry back outer covering to reveal the wires. Check for a broken wire.If you have power & ground is good Take motor off & check motor on the bench using A 12 volt power scource. If it does not work replace motor. If this advice helps please fell free to recommend accordingly. Thanks!
