best bet is to stop in at a Pep Boys, Autozone, or similar big autoparts seller, and ask for free trouble code scan, which should pinpoint area causing problem. If not obvious by codes, what is necessary to repair the problem code, get back to us with those codes and we will be glad to assist you further. Better this way, takes away the guess work, and saves you money, as well as getting it right the first time.

You need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Whatever happened stopped after you restarted the engine, but the engine light wont go off until the ignition cycles many times without any problems. Any parts store will scan your truck for free. Have them scan it and clear the codes, and come back here and let us know what code/s you get.

There is a Technical Service bulletin related to "Reduced Engine Power". It has to do with water getting into a connector and causing voltage problems with the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor. The code says nothing about any sudden acceleration or engine shut-off, but it makes sense tome that if the APP voltages are goofy, just about anything would be possible.
It is TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Reference Number 07-06-04-019D

it means the computer system is setting a trouble code that could possibly damage the engine, the only way to find the cause is have the vehicle scanned for codes, and then the codes diagnosed, I have replaced many throttle bodies on these cars
