1994 Chevy Sierra 1500 injectors not pumping after 3000 rmps had to put aftermarket electric fuel pump cant get 12 volt to stock pump

when mine went bad I pulled the bed off and moved it back enough toget to the top of the fuel tank it was easier to remove and replace versus dropping the tank tookme and my buddy about 2 hours rig a sling and use a cherry picker to lift bed don't forget to unplug wire harness hope this helps

Here are instructions for replacment with a diagram of the fuel pump components my only suggestion would be instead of draining the tank and dropping the fuel tank if you unbolt the box and using a jack and and some wood lift the fuel tank side of the box this will give you access to the tank and fuel pump/ sending unit. It will save you time and the hastle of replacing the tank straps which are prone to snapping at the threads when trying to remove the nuts.If these brake you will have to replace them.

SOURCE: on my 1994 plymouth voyager the 3 wire harness to fuel pump (blue wire) doesn't have 12 volts; should it? fuel pump quit then worked once when hot-wired with 12 volts. fuse and relay is good.

The wire should not be hot until the relay is triggered. The relay does not get triggered until the ignition key is turned on. It will run for 3-5 seconds or until the system pressure it at max.

Faulty fuel pump.Check your fuel pressure it should be 9-13 psi with engine running.
