SOURCE: where is the thermastat on 04 cavalier located?

You will find the thermostat where the upper rad hose comes to the engine. But this could be the least of your probs!!! The car has overheated several times! Right? Now you likely have a head gasket leaking! This means removing the head and have it machined! This could be very costly! Frankster016

SOURCE: My 2004 chevy cavalier won't start it is stuck in

Your shifter cable sounds like it separated from the transmission or shifter or just broke. you are probably stuck in a moving gear so the neutral safety switch is disabling the ignition.

SOURCE: 2001 chevy cavalier fuse box

In the instrument panel fuse block there should be a fuse labeled RDO/INT LP. that is the radio and interior lamp fuse. If you have a factory stereo with a factory amp there will also be a fuse labeled AMP in the same fuse lock. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I have a 2004 chevy cavalier and my rear lights wont turn on

If they are flashing on and off there is probably a bad ground to the lights. If it were a fuse it would have blown and you would not have lights at all.

Diagnostic

Check your fuse panel for a fuse panel. You are probably not getting power to your diagnostics port on your vehicle. I do not remember which fuse the port is under but just look for the blown one.
