I have one doing the same thing right now you have to pull the inside cover off and free up the latch system it is probably the locking part of the latch

SOURCE: Buick Redezvous

there is a rod that runs from the handle down to the latch that can sometimes come loose how ever this is a pain because you have to take all the panels loose to get to it but is a easy fix once you get to it.Its just a little plastic clip that slips back into place.Hope this has been helpful to you !

SOURCE: back hatch will not auto open

Is there clicking sound while trying to open hatch? If so, check the rod, otherwise problem with fuse/wiring.

Back hatch won~t open with remote or inside door locks will open manually nothing stuck or jammed?

Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

Remote on 2004 envoy stopped working.also can not open back hatch

Either the battery is low on the remote controller unit or a fuse has blown in your fuse box to stop them all opening .
Contact a local dealer they may have an idea as you are probably not the only one for this to happen to..

Back hatch on 2004 chevy trailblazer will not open...

You could have a bad Lift Gate Module (LGM) or a broken wire in the wire harness going thru the rubber boot between the body and the lift gate.
But first check fuse #19 in the rear fuse panel.

Automatic side door will no longer open with remote or console button in car. Also, both side door's locks will not pop up using all of our 3 remotes (1 door is automatic, 1 is manual). Lastly, the back...

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

Problem The rear hatch door will not unlock.

First, on the rear hatch, there is an actuator. On FX, when you close the trunk, it kind of **** the hatch closed all the way. When you press lock on the remote, this same actuator locks it as well.
Now,
1) when you unlock the car from the inside, go back there and press the button to open the hatch door manually, do you here any noises?
2) Close all doors, go back close to the hatch button and using the remote , lock the car and then unlock the car. you should hear a sound from the actuator locking and unlocking the lock on the rear hatch!

If you don't hear this, your actuator is inop.
Next step would be to check the fuses inside the car, on the left bottom driver side, and outside on the battery compartment.
It might be just a fuse.
If all fuses check ok, your actuator is most likely gone! Not ea expensive fix, just time consuming!

NOW, if you can hear the noises, then something is either broken inside the actuator or one of the cables is loose!
Hope that helps.
Also, what year and miles on your fx?

Lift gate does not work in 2004 mit endeavor

This is due to the microswitch inside the glass hatch failing. It will not let you open the door because it is unsure if the glass is open or not.

Here is how to verify this:

Manually open the glass hatch.
Remove the two philips screws from the cover on the back of the handle area, and unscrew the plastic plug with the slot in it.
You should now be able to remove the cover.
You will see the harness coming off the glass handle going to a connector. Unplug this white two wire connector.
Your rear hatch should now open normally, just without glass opening.

To repair this, you will need to replace the glass hatch handle. It is a dealer-only part, and the cost is about $35.

To replace it, simply remove the 2 10mm nuts behind it (visible with the cover off that you just removed) and replace the handle and plug it back in.
Now all functions will work.
