SOURCE: Replacing the battery to the remote for the alarm for mazda 626

you should be able to slide a small-bladed flathead screwdriver in between the 2 pieces and carefully pry the pieces apart.

SOURCE: KEY FOB

ATTENTION: You MUST HAVE one working remote to add one more to the system. If you do not have one working remote right now then these instructions will not work. You will have to have a Locksmith or dealership use a computer to program the first remote for you.

Click here to find a Locksmith in your area to program this remote.
1. Enter your vehicle and close all doors.

2. Fasten your seat belt ( fastening the seat belt will cancel any chiming that may
confuse you during this programming procedure.)

3. Place key into the ignition.

4. Turn the ignition to the ON position ( DO NOT START THE ENGINE )

5. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on a working remote.

6. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button, wait at least 4 seconds, but no longer than
10 seconds, then press and hold PANIC button.

7. When a single chime is heard, release both buttons. The chime indicates the system
is in program mode.

8. Press and release both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons, simultaneoulsly on the remote
to be programmed.

9. A single chime will be heard. The chime indicates the the remote was recognized.

10. Within 4 seconds of hearing the chime, press and release any button on the remote
being programmed.

11. A single chime will be heard The chime indicates the remote has been programmed.

12. Repeat steps 8 to 11 for a total of 4 remotes.

13. Turn the ignition to the OFF position or wait 60 seconds to exit program mode.

My Ford Focus car doesn't centrally lock anymore, I have to use the key. It's not the fob battery because I changed it.

Sure you did put in a new battery? sure you did insert it correct? not the other way around? sure you did use the correct battery? like CR23 or AAA?
Sure all contacts in the battery compartment and on the battery are clean and shiny?
just a few things you could check.

My original key fobs quit working on my 2005 GMC Yukon SLT. I changed the batteries with no positive result. I next replaced the key fobs and followed the programming. This worked for a couple of months...

The keyless entry system has the following main components:
• The transmitters
• The passenger door module (PDM)
The PDM communicates with the body control module (BCM) through the keyless entry serial data circuit. When you press a button on a transmitter, the transmitter sends a signal to the PDM. The PDM sends a request to the BCM and the BCM performs the appropriate function.

I can't open the car door with the key, i have to use the beeper but for some reason that is not connecting with the car (03 ford expidition). The car has two alarms, one i turned off with a key...

The key fob battery, the theft module , must be causing the problem. The car not getting open with key, may be key needs reprogramming.-------- There is a battery in a key fob, many a times battery gets weak or dead, causing the problem. But if battery in key fob is already replaced, then theft alarm needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer. The theft system is not letting the car to start.----------- Both key fob and theft module needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer. Its done by a reprogramming scanner. Not a error code scanned, but a reprogramming tool scanner.----------- That will only pin point the problem,if the theft module is got faulty or just needs reprogramming.---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
