I have a Prius 2006 with a CD player that can hold 6 disks. All the buttons under the CD player stopped working. And the Eject button stopped working also. Please help to find a way to get the disks out. They're library CD books. I have to return them.

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps

If you are using home-made, or "Burnt" CDs, this is the root of the problem. Toyota Cd players are sometimes not compatible with the abovementioned CD's. Also, if the CD is scratched badly on the bottom side closest to the "hole", the info that the CD reads to "know" that the CD is physically IN the drive may be compromised.

make shure the wires in the back are pluged in right
SOURCE: Radio works ok, nothing from the cd player its
If the radio works but the CD player doesn't it's something internal to the unit. The radio and CD player get their power source from the same wire that goes into the unit.

It seems like the lens is dusty or has some particles blocking the "vision" of the laser, this problem is a pain because you can not simply put in a lens cleaner disk due to the system not recognizing anything. I have had the same error and had to remove and disassemble the unit to clean the lens with a damp cloth, then wipe with a lint free one. The error went away and disks ejected. If you are unable to do this, you may need to have it taken in for service.
