Oil Sensor light keeps coming on 2003 H2 Hummer

I have an 03 Hummer H2. My husband is out of town and my sensor keeps going off for low oil. My hsuband changed the oil about 2 weeks ago. I just checked it 3x and there is plenty of oil. What could be causing this?

Thanks!!
Gina

There is a sensor located on the oil pan. If the plug-in to this sensor comes loose it or if the sensor fails, it will send the low oil signal. You are wise to check the oil to confirm it is not low.

High oil pressure in my humer h2

First thing that i would reccomend is switching to 5w30 oil since this is what GM wants you to run in your hummer. Next i assume your gauge is pegged out and doesn't fluctuate. You are going to have to take your hummer down to the local dealer and have a computer hooked up to see if the gauge is bad or the oil pressure sender is bad, more than likely the sender. thanks for using fixya !! have a nice day
