The engine light is on because have a fault code P0304, it means Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected

more than likely it need ignition coils.

I'm not sure if you have the 2000 Dodge 1500 with the 3.9L (6-Cyl), 5.2L (8-Cyl), and 5.9L (8-Cyl) Engine; however I have included.

For the 3.9L (6-Cyl):

Replace the wires and coil boots.........

try putting k seal in , possible a head gaskit, k seal, or seal up or even wonderworld.

$2000.00 computer at the Jag dealer will fix the problem.
