Take the front tyre off

Undo the brake caliper and hang it nearby (try not to kink the brake line)

Remove brake disk

There should be a nut in the middle that needs to come off, might have a clip to remove first then unbolt.

Slowly pull out the wheel bits and there you should have the bearing in grease in the middle.

Simply switch for new one packed in grease, reverse the process and bob is your uncle....

Radio volume control on 2008 Subaru Tribeca does not work, but remote volume control on steering wheel works. Any suggestions on repairs?

Replace the volume control(rheostat) inside the radio. Only way to fix it. I would personally just live with it until one or the other quits working. Then replace the radio.

How do I replace front wheel bearings on 2008

Hi, replacing the front wheel bearings on any vehicle is difficult if you don,t have the right tools, as the driveshaft and wheel hub (where the bearing is seated) needs to be removed. The hub housing the bearing may have to be heated (depending on corrosion) when the bearing is being pressed out, by using a heavy duty vice , and the new bearing is pressed in using the vice and the old bearing as a guide. I would strongly suggest you refer this repair to someone who has done this before, I personally would not undertake to change front bearings ever again, the first time for me was an experience I wouldn't want to undertake again. All the best.

How do I replace the passenger side headlight (lowbeam) on a 2008 Subaru Tribeca?

if the battery sits in front you will have to remove it.most imports now a days are like this.once the battery is removed you should have ample space to remove the bulb. just make sure that you use a clean rag to install the new one as you must not touch the glss part of the bulb with your fingers or oilly rags.befopre disconnecting the battery make sure you dont need a code to restart the car or use the radio.

Low beams on my Tribeca 2008 burned out frequently (4 times in 5 months). Once both at the same time! Thanks!

replace them again and install with gloves on. Oils in your hands destroys these bulbs prematurely

Trying to change low beam light in subarau tribeca 2008- need to see schematic

Hello SUBY bro, kick me if I'm wrong but imho this should not be that complicated to require a schematic......Below is the reply I posted here on FixYa for another 08 Tribeca owner......Peace

We have an 05 Legacy and I've done this. Tribeca should be the same way: Look through the engine bay2.gif behind the light, you can locate the position by following the wires which actually connect to the bulb assembly. The bulb assembly ought to be removable with a 1/4-1/2 turn and pull motion. Be sure to not touch the replacement bulb with your bare hands. Your Subaru service ought to help you with this and not charge you......

We have a 2009 Subaru Tribeca with 16,000 miles and it is using approximately 1 quart of oil every 1,000 miles. Subaru says this is normal and I want to know if other Tribeca owners are having the same...

Now I am really depressed. We thought we have a change from driving Honda and Toyota so we decided to buy a new 2009 Tribeca. My first oil change for this car was 1800 miles, after breaking in. I replaced it with 7 qts of Mobile 1 Full Synthetic. Currently, the car has 8900 miles, that is 7100 driven; unfornately, I just filled 3 qts of new Mobile 1. Luckily, I check!!! Is this normal for Tribeca? If so, this is the worst investment of a lifetime. I won't ever buy Subaru again or recommend to anyone!!!
