Well if indeed you have a CVT then you don't really have gears to shift to per-se, but clearly there is something wrong with the system. If you're not mechanically inclined go to the dealer. Regular mechanics will have difficulty with uncommon systems like CVT's

Testimonial: "Its like sir that my car runs only on its low gear.. i can run only 20-30kph...i can rev my car but im afraid my engine will blow because the revs is high but only on its low gear..it seems that it won't shift to high speed/gear..what should I do?thanks"

Well in that case maybe it should be towed there. Is the check engine light on too? or just the CVT light?

I don't think sir that its just a CVT warning light because the performance of the engine is so poor and the car runs so slow with high rpm sir...

Yes, it's not a warning light. Something is probably broken, but you will need to get to a competent mechanic to get it fixed. Good luck.

SOURCE: How to fix CVT Warning Light?

the CVT light is associated with the transmission. I don't think changing the fluid/oil in the transmission will help. you need to find a shop that can access the transmission control module to fint out ant fault codes and go from there. could be a simple speed sensor or shift control solenoid.

I have a 2000 daewoo matiz . i need to find cam sensor on it. There are 2 sensors on the distributor housing is it possible that one is the cam sensor. 1 has one wire the other has 2.

I am going to assume you have the 1.6l engine because it is a pretty common engine for Daewoo. I had a 2000 Daewoo Lanos with a 1.6L engine. It has been quite some time since I had the vehicle but the cam position sensor was easy to replace. If you remove the plastic engine cover, then remove the valve cover, you will notice that on the left side of the cams near the timing belt that the sensor sticks up slightly and you can see the electrical connection to the sensor. I do not remember if I had to remove the timing belt cover or not but I don't think I had to. If I remember right, it was either one or two screws holding the sensor in place.

cvt transmission use a special and specific oil and it is not the same oil as used in conventional automatic transmissions
using the incorrect oil will destroy the cvt inside 10,000miles

Matiz misses only in certain gears.

The fact it only has a possible misfire in the first 3 gears,
tells you your under a high vacuum load getting up to speed
& applying more gas pedal command as well, until you let up
in top gear

Timing is engine load related, so your theory is not valid there either

I would do a cylinder leak down test to check the mechanical condition
of the motor, valves & such, then use an evap smoke machine to test
intake, exhaust & evap system for vacuum leaks

What about EGR System Even electronic ones use vacuum, thus
my vacuum load theory.

Get rid of all ignition misfire issues

No Vacuum Leaks anywhere on car

New upstream O2 Sensors or scope yours for
switching times

Check timing belt for issues

I guess you checked fuel pressure

Check alternator for bad diodes

Need a scan tool to look at fuel trim & all data
on a road test

Basically you missed something
