Under package shelf - basically you would nearly need to crawl into the trunk, then flip over to be facing up in order to see it... (a decent sized mirror could also be used).

Sometimes the light will stay on for 100-500 miles depending on the fault code. You can disconnect the battery to reset it, but you will have to reset the radio and other memory such as seats mirrors.
