For 2003 Chevy Suburban V8 engine with Z code
Plugs are pregapped, usually within a couple thousandths(look at them though, sometimes they get bent). Better than most mechanics get it. They use those cheap round gauges that wear out quick. I use feeler gauges. I have several sets. The oldest is about 30 years old and still accurate.
GM Bulletin 03-06-04-060B - new spark plug, P/N?12571164 with AC Delco P/N?41-985 (which 41-101), is gapped to 1.01?mm (0.040?in).. Orignally the service manual showed a .060 gap.
There is a decal under the hood somewhere that has the plug gap on it. I think the gap is .052".

I suspect you have had an oil pump failure. To get at the rotory gear oil pump you will have to drop the oil pan. After you take the pan off, ( having drained the oil the oil pump is what the oil pick up line leads into. That pick up assy. is a round shaped disc with a screen inside it. Clean the screen first then the oil pump. Install new oil pan gasket on reassembly. Hope that helps you. Please let me know.
Hopefully the engine was not damaged when the pump broke. If it was you may need a complete engine rebuild, MAYBE.
