Think hose are mixed up
So has anyone figured this out? I don't know what vehicles you all have that think the answer is as simple as google it but on my 96 blazer, I have 3 ports at the pump and 3 lines at the front, 2 lines coming from the charcoal canister and a 3 way in there somewhere.
You can't mix these lines. One is 3/8 in diameter and the other is 5/16 in diameter. They are just two metal lines running from the tank to the top of the engine intake plenum, near the back. The 3/8 line has a fuel filter connected to it. To access the regulator or injectors and injector lines. You have to remove the plenum.

yes you have to drop the tank. you will also need a fuel line tool to unhook the fuel lines. before you drop the tank see if tou can reach and wiggle the electrical connection on the top of the tank. these pumps have a pigtail issue. please rate

My computer just hosed my response so forgive the clutter if half of it posts.
The answer to our problem is GM and AC part # 25625186. It costs $62.10 plus tax but I didn't have the patience to wait & see if the 20 dollar part (no picture - not in stock) from local parts store was correct.
LEAVE KEY OFF to release pressure from fuel line. It is always a good idea to disconnect the battery while working on a car. The hose diconnects on either end by pushing the two tabs on the clear/white fastener hooked to the filter on one side and the hard line on top. Small hands and a screwdriver or pliers may help but the job can be done with (thin gloved) fingers. I take that back... I needed a screwdriver to open the rubber bracket on the frame and help pry the top hose out. Next make sure the clear/white insert fasteners are included with the new part so you can go ahead and rip off the pieces left on the hard lines. Make sure there is no dirt on the hard lines and firmly press the new part in place. There should be a nice SNAP when it is connected on each side. This was an easy one besides the fuel mess and hit to the wallet. Please wear safety glasses and take precautions for dripping fuel and dirty undercarriage.
