Simple fix... Just replace the brake light switch. It is located on the brake pedal arm about 6 inches above the pedal, it will have a plug going to it as well.

Having problems with shift button on 91 Lexus LS400 it gets stuck on Park. I press on break no response.

Could be a bad brake light switch or the solenoid itself or wiring. See if brake lights work. If they don't then check brake light fuse, if thats ok then check at the brake switch for power or jump the two wire plug lights should light and shifter work unless solenoid bad. Good luck

Brake light on after replacing brakes & sensors on 1997 Lexus LS

If you are referring to the rear brake lights and not the red brake warning light, then i suspect either a faulty brake switch(usually located above the brake pedal) or one that is not adjusted properly.

Brake lights and rear deck light do not work. checked all fuses and they are fine

Check the brake light switch under the dash near the top of the brake pedal, the button might be stuck in, or the switch is bad.
