I have a 2006 GMC Yukon Denali XL that has a parasitic drain. The drain is approximately 3A. When the radio 15A fuse is pulled it drops 1.2A and when the 30A Radio Amp fuse is pulled it drops another 1.2A. I disconnect the radio, amp, CD player and rear entertainment system and it still draws 3A unless the fuses are pulled. Any ideas?

SOURCE: location of fuse box/panel for 2004 yukon denali xl

There are 2 fuse panels in the Denali.
One is a panel on the drivers side, its on the dash but facing the door.

The ohter is under the dash and above the pedals, this one is much tougher to access.

Your Owner's Manual should tell you where the fuses are that you need to access.

SOURCE: 2001 GMC Yukon Denali XL -intermittent dead battery

The wiper should not move regardless of battery change as the wiper switch should have isolated it.It seems to be the only ,as you say, strange thing and would be inclined to believe that that is the probable cause of your fault.Do like your testing method and hope you track the fault down.Good luck and happy new year.

SOURCE: 2007 gmc yukon navigation problems

Did you ever figure out this problem that you were having? I have an 07 Yukon and it sounds like the navigation is still on too when I shut it off. I haven't had the battery go dead on me yet, but I'm hoping that it doesn't happen too as I just purchased it. Let me know if you found anything out, I would greatly appreciate it!

SOURCE: 2006 GMC Yukon Denali XL Rear Hatch & Glass locks not working

Could be the latch mechanism for the door is sticking. You could try using some white grease on the latch and the contact where the latch hooks to. You can purchase the grease from most auto parts stores. You will not need to use alot. Just apply a small amount to the mechanisim and then work it in using the manual handle. Then open and close the door several times to feel the "action". Then apply a little more and repeat. This should loosen the latch and get it working again. Also make sure that none of the tension springs have come loose on the latch. And check the seal around the door and make sure it is not pinched and has a proper fit.
