you may have a plugged fuel filter as you don`t say if you have changed it. also have your fuel pressure tested with a gage, it should run about 36 lbs pressure if its multi-point fuel injection or run at about 15/18 lbs pressure if its a throttle body.
Sounds like a vacuum leak. Spray carb/throttle body cleaner at all fuel and air intake areas ie; intake manifold to heads, throttle body to intake, all vacuum hoses, etc. Work the throttle to keep it running or have someone inside doing it. You will know if the carb cleaner gets sucked in somewhere. That will be the location of your vacuum leak.
All throttle position sensors, have to be on the throttle body, on order for the computer to recognize throttle position & convert to throttle plate angle %
Any code you get, on an OBD2 System, doesn't mean to change parts
The codes are used to follow manufactures charts, to diagnose the code fault, somewhere in one of the vehicles systems
On all vehicles if you follow the air intake, from the filter to the intake manifold, you get to the throttle body
Given your question,I suggest you leave the diagnosing to an experienced person
The 4.0 liter 6 has a crankshaft senser thats known to go bad. It's located on the drivers side of the lower bellhouseing and gets it's signel off of the flywheel. The connector for it is at the back of the intake maniflold near the firewall. the test is to get a volt meter and disconnect the throttle position senser. It's on the side of the throttle body and it has a three wire connector. with this connector unplugged one wire will have no volts ( ground) one wire will have 12 volts ( key on power) and the other should have 5 volts ( senser voltage). This wire is the one beign checked with the key stil on and the voltmeter still connected to the 5 volt wire unplg the crank senser. ( the connector at the back of the intake maniflod that goes on to the senser in the bell housing) (Some have two)) If the voltage chnges the senser is bad. If it is the coil is likly bad also. use the volt OHM meter to test it too. Unplug the wire from the coil and test it for OHMs at the two pins that connected to the wire harness on the coil. If it's less the 3 OHMs it's likly bad and less than 1 OHM it's certainly bad. It'll fail a new cranksenser and can fail the igtion module thats under the coil. ( they don't fail very often) and if they do the coil is bad and the spark plugs cap rotor and wires are all suspect to being worn out. If you blow the module it's expensive and something else did it. If you replace it replace the rest of the system to protect the new module. Coil cap rotor wires and sparkplugs. all of these parts cost less then the module and they being worn out is the couse of mdule failure. A new module can fail very quickly if these other parts are bad even though it may run fine with the new module installed. the parts stores don't warretee modules that don't have new sparkplugs and wires and coil so here you go.
Doesn't have one it does have a mass airflow senser and it's in the air intake hose on top of the air filter box. If the hose to the throttle body leaks in any kind of way ( attached hoses off or leaking cracked hose your gat Map codes the the airflow senser isn't getting full flow and theirs a problem that needs corrected check everything before changing the senser though as it's expensive and the senser is'nt returnable if your wrong.
Check for vaccume leaks around the throttle body or you may need a throttle position senser. The tail light may need the light sockt it's self replaced or you could have a bad connection where the light harness plugs to the chassis harness.
The throttle position sensor is mounted on the throttle body. Follow the big hoses from the air filter housing back to the engine and the first part on the engine you come to...... is the throttle body.
Buy the throttle position sensor first and match it to the part on the throttle body to identify the part you want to change.
sounds like your throttle positioning sensor is not set right so i would undo the two phillips heads that hold it and turn it till the idle doesnt fluctuate should be turned most of the way to the front of the truck. Also check your idle screw that throttle body could be set different.
