SOURCE: MY CAR HAS CENTRAL LOCKING, BUT THE KEYS WAS

This sounds stupid but it does work sometimes! Get a tennis ball, cut it in half, with as clean a cut as you can get, put plenty of grease on the cut edge of the ball to give you a good seal, place the ball above the door lock as centrally as you can and hit the ball as hard as you dare not to damage the body work. It's an old trick, but it creates a vacume on the lock causing it to pop the lock open. The alarm will go off, but you will have your keys back to turn it off. It used to work for me in the same cases, it's either that, or get the police to open it with a slip stick, it will open ANY car, but you have to have all your documents with you to prove ownership. Best Wishes Dave.

My citroen c3 . 2003 the door lock won't work and my battery has died how do I gt into the car to open the bonnet or can I go underneath the car to release bonnet catch

You should be able to open the door manually with the key and you may have to turn it twice. Also try unlocking it whilst at the same time pulling on the door handle to the opening position or pulling the door handle to the opening position and then working the lock to open it manually. One way or the other it is designed to be opened manually with the key when there is a power failure with the power operated central locking not then operable.

I have a toyota hilux utility 2000 model. I am trying to open the bonnet to access the battery terminals to power up the electronics as I have central locking and cannot open the vehicle with the key...

Do you have the original key for this vehicle. If so you can unlock the door with this key. Even if the battery is flat. Allowing you to access the bonnet release catch.

Terracan remote locking problem,

dear friend-when you use the remote it activates the alarm, and when u use the key it only activate the central locking, please open the bonnet and look for the bonnet switch,if you find the switch look where the bonnet and switch come together there should should be a rubber grommet that will push the switch when closing the bonnet.if it is not there the alarm will not work,do the same with the back door.

Locked out of car

I took my 99 Laguna to my local mechanic with a stuck bonnet. He pulled the lever from inside and told me to press down on the bonnet at the same time then open the bonnet as normal with the outside catch. It worked ok. After doing it oil the catch mechanism and it now works ok-but best to keep trying it to stop it seizing again.
