I sent the head to the shop to be rebult and the sensor on the top back was taken out and it stops the antifreeze from coming out. so I bought a temp sensor it fit but the wire connection was a different boot. so that gives me the indacation that is not a temp sensor that belongs there what does? Just changed a starter in a 94 S10 4x4. The only way to remove the starter was to take the passenger side exhaust manifold off and bring the starter out that way. Installation the same in reverse. Hope this helps. Don

Yes it is headgasket. Mine had same problem. Yours might not be severe as of now, you can try these other solutions. THERMAGASKET... Which you can buy online, and get your money back if it does not work... And stuff in a bottle at Autozone Repair headgasket with NanoTechnology! I would try and sell it quick, because these engines are very costly to repair and most mechanics wont even attempt headgasket repair, and plus you have to TimeSert the block...

Check the spark wire for the #1 plug. I had one get burned by the header, I would check it for burns or cuts. Sorry I couldnt help more.

red with blue stripe and black... cut the red with blue strip and connect one end of the resistor to the harness side. Then splice the other end of the resistor to the black wire... do not cut it just splice into it.
