Why would the dealer unhook the air bag light ? Turn the key to the on position ,is the air bag light lit ? That would be ******* for the deal to disable air bag light . An besides ,there is no buzzer for a non working airbag light. So take it back to the dealer.

i cant see lamp, why not use photos so we dont need to guess, 1000 warning lamps used.

the key switch tells the warning box when you remove the key.

that buzz left in is the warning, take key out now.

seem the key inserted switch is stuck but id have to see lamp.

so yes that is switch not a sensor, (but sure one could call a switch a sensor.) and sure wires can fail. and connectors.

sure its electric, is sure is not vacuum.



the warning box can worn head lights left on

or exiting car key left in ignition.

do not fool with the key switch on air bag cars or risk death or broken neck with AIR BAGS.

read the manual, see the 1000 warning there.

and the words, DEFEAT the bags using X procedures first.

bring to garage to check for air bag fault codes/

it means the air bags are inoperative, maybe a fuse or an open circuit, best to have someone with electrical knowledge look at it

most of older honda models have problem with seat belt and it turn on the srs light. infact, there is a recall, check with your local dealer.
however, when that light come on there is a problem with your air bag system. so have it check

BMWs usually have a peculiar problem with unnecessary warning lights especially as they get older in use. I don't think this is of any hazard except that you need to check the fuse box in the bonnet that has to do with electrical connections.

make sure your air bag light is operating. if the airbag light is burnt out on the instrument cluster, it will beep an audible tone to let you know there is a problem since there is no working warning light. turn key on (but dont start vehicle) and see if the air bag light comes on and shuts off (its called "prove-out") if it does not come on at all, chances are... the light for air bag warning on cluster is burnt out

the air bag light will only show if the ignition was turned on while it was disconnected.

it will defo need to be pluged into the computer to be put out but some smaller garages will have the software to do this and will be a little cheaper.here in ireland VW wanted 50euro to do mine but a small garage done it for 30euro.

you can buy code finders/reset gadgets on ebay but might not be worth it for one job compared to $130.

my suggestion would be to get the main dealer to do it if a normal automotive shop cannot access it.
