Many times a bad brake light switch will prevent the cruise from engaging. But your best bet is to get a shop manual and follow the step by step tests. Check with your local library to see if they have online access to a repair manual
well the cruse control has a cruse control module check that out but for the the turn signals and dash light if you already replaced the fuse maybe the lights burned out or you have a bad ground somewhere
? Does all other functions on the turn signal lever work? Is the switch pushed to the right? (cruse on) Does the button on the end of the turn signal lever pushed in? I don't mean to be telling you the obvious but I make mistakes like that. Have you done a scan (obdII) for any errors? The multifunction switch on the steering colum controls many functions of your buick. Did you check the fuse. See owners manual either glove box, or passangers side under the hood.(its labeled cruse) Are your brake lights working? (they deactivate the cruse control) If your 1999 Buick is in fair condition I wouldn't look for a wiring problem (corroded connectors) The cruise contol module is located under the hood on the drivers side inner fender wall check for damage ie connectors. It could be a sensor in the transmission?(speed control) Just start eliminating the obvious Edmonds, Haynes, Chillions have manuals that are available at most major libraries for diagrams an suggestions. Sorry but without more specific info. there can be a multitude of causes.
IM GUESSING YOUR TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS BAD U HAVE TO TAKE OFF UR STERING WHEEL OF SO YOU COULD GET TO THE WHOLE PICE OR ELS UR CRUSE CONTROL ON THE PEDAL IS BAD
hi there you will find a switch some where near the dash light dimmer switch that will say off and on what you need to do
have the car going in a forward moton and doing 40kph or more
when you have reached the desired speed that you wish to set you need to turn the cruse control on then at the strearing wheel you will see a button saying "set"
once the light on the dash bord has come on then you can take your foot off and it should remain at the speed you set it at.
now some tips and did you know
when you have set a speed you can increase it by pressing the plus or minus button to either increase or decreas your speed and it will automatically remember it
when you want to over take and you have your cruse set at a speen you can use the exelaretor to go faster and once you have passed you can press resume to go back to the speed you where doing before you applyed more power
did you know cruse control is more economical then usng the exelarator it can save you fuel.
do not use cruse control in wet weather as it can cause a skid if you hit a p[uddle of water laying on the road
to stop the cruse form working just put your foot on the break
Pull up on the brake pedal. If that does not work check your brake light bulbs (LED brake lights will also keep your cruise control form working). Finally check all of the fuses. This system needs at least 3 different fuses to work properly.
