My lexus will not repond to anything. Can only open door with key. Engine start stop button has amber light ON and red security light between AC vents is blinking. Changed key fob battery but key fob doesn't work. Cannot lock or unlock car with key fob. Press brake peddle and push engine start stop button, amber light goes off and nothing happens. After a while amber light will come back ON What is wrong?
There should be no reason your car should not start because you changed out a key fob battery. I have a few suggestions to get your 2007 Lexus ES 350 Key Fob working.
1) Make sure you installed the battery correct side up. Just try flipping the battery to see if that works.
2) I know this sounds absurd, but it works sometimes and is worth trying. If you exhausted all of the options above, disconnect both terminals on your car battery for 10 minutes. Then reconnect them and try your key fob. This has worked for many people and I have no idea why. If you do, please comment below to explain.
Be sure to use the correct battery, properly in place, clean the key contacts , See owner's manual for additional information.

All trunks have emergency pull tab in the trunk. If your back seats will lower or move forward, u should beable to reach in and pull it. its usually yellow. If your back seats a permanetly attached and will not lean forward, idk what to say. Im guessing it doesnt have a key hole to use your key to open? most do???? if it doesnt, take it to a dealer. they fix ya up

Call the Dealer you purchased the car from, and have them walk you through it. Act as if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I interpret your Q, to mean the Starter turns, but the Bendix drive does not engage, to crank the engine?
If so, check that the starter Solenoid Energizing connection, on the Starter Motor has not detached , or broken, or has become chafed on the body/engine, and is grounding out.
A simple test....Get a length of 14 gauge wire. Make a direct contact between the Starter Motor, Supply Terminal, and the Solenoid Energizer terminal.
If this Action does not rotate the engine, then you can be 99% sure the Starter Unit is junk.
