SOURCE: Ignition switch locks when remplaced the Stop Light & Horn fuse

Sounds like wiring. The key won't release unless the car is in park. From what I can remember the solenoid that controls the shifter lock is on the same circuit as the horn. Since the fuse was spent I think somthing must be shorting out. Take the centre console out and check for burn and or touching wires by the shifter.

You may have a bad ground on that side. Look at all the wiring back there and see if there is any corrosion. Some times you can find the ground wire and run a new ground. Unlike the power lead, you can add a ground anywhere in the system with no impact on the integrity.

2005 Honda Odyssey brake horn fuse keeps blowing, stuck in park

Why do fuse's keep blowing ? A short circuit to (ground) somewhere . Do you know how to use a wiring diagram an a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test electrical circuit's ? Brake ? brake light's ? You can't get it out of park because of the shift lock solenoid ( shifter interlock system ) This is a safety system that won't let gear selector to move from park unless driver is pushing the brake pedal . The fuse blowing - no power to brake light switch , computer see's no signal so it won't energize the shift lock solenoid .

1998 Passport. Why does the brake fuse keep blowing?

sounds like an electrical fault that will need an auto electrician, NOT A MECHANIC, to diagnose. It is one of those odd complaints thay is almost esoteric in nature!! There is no obvious cause for the brake light cannot tell that the car is going forwars...the reversing lights can...maybe a short there somewhere

My power window and door locks fuse keeps blowing.

When the fuse blows figure out what you are doing, what switch is being pressed, then remove the needed panels to access the wiring to the switch and motor it operates, then you will find the damaged wiring and repair the short, no quick fix, just hard grunt work.

When I turn the ignition on on my 1998 Honda Passport everything works fine and then the ignition to START and it blows a fuse and will not start

What fuse? Is it an ignition fuse? You could go to autozone.com and get free wire digrams. All you need to do is register which is also free. The diagram may show the fuse panel and you can trace what fuse is blowing to what it powers.

My daughters 1998 honda accord ex keeps blowing fuses she is having to replace the brake light fuse after we replaced the brake light switch when she changed the fuse last the horn blew and she was shocked...

The horn and rear brake lights are on the same fuse. Eventually the horns rust out like on my 1998 CRV. Once I replaced the horns, I could put in a new fuse without it blowing every time I sounded the horn. Problems still remain, namely: the cruise control does not engage and the remote start only starts the engine that runs for two seconds then dies. Still looking for an answer. It's a "Code Alarm" with Codestart dated 11/24/99.
