For a car this old I suggest you check the used auto parts places in your community. This car is 15 years old, and it would be almost impossible to find a new one.

SOURCE: I have a 1992 geo metro LSI convertable that is

they have junkyards for that. there are many people on ebay who will go out and scavenge parts for a price. tough to find a car more then 15 years old though.

search for used geo parts on ebay, find someone who has a lot of them for sale and send him a question about finding you one and how much.

or you can just get your phone book out, find the auto used parts section and call them all until you find someone with an old geo sitting in his yard that you can go look at.

How do i remove a radio from a 1993 suzuki sidekick

i guess step 4 is it?

heater control page.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If equipped, disable the air bag system. (skip)
  3. Carefully pull the knobs off of the control levers.
  4. On Sidekick, Tracker, Sidekick Sport and X-90 models, grasp the trim panel and pull it off of the instrument panel.
  5. stop.... here.
radio out
electronic version not analog
remove ash tray, and hidden tray screw and tray guide

  1. Pull the heater control lever knobs off of the levers.
  2. On 1996-98 models, separate the heater control trim panel from the control unit by pulling it straight away from the instrument panel. Allow the trim panel to hang loose.
  3. Open the ashtray, then depress the ashtray retainer and remove the ashtray from the sliding track. While it is removed from the vehicle, now would be a good time to wash it out.
  4. Loosen the two retaining screws, then remove the ashtray track from the instrument panel center trim bezel.
  5. On 1989-95 Sidekick and Tracker models, remove the trim panel (Bezel) by prying it carefully away from the instrument panel.
  6. On 1996-98 models, remove the center trim bezel from the instrument panel by loosening the four retaining screws and maneuvering the heater control trim through the appropriate hole. Set the bezel out of the way.
  7. Use a screwdriver to loosen the one rear mounting bracket-to-radio screw; access can be gained to this screw through the ashtray hole.
  8. Remove the four radio front retaining screws, then pull the radio out of the instrument panel just far enough so that the electrical connections on the rear of the radio can be accessed.
  9. Detach and label the wiring from the radio. Also, detach the antenna cable from the rear face of the radio
  10. pull radio. now. (if stock if not stock look for locks)

How do i get the dash off to pull the old radio out

I'm not totally sure about the La Sabre, but there should be trim screws that hold the Dash face plate in place. There are three on the top portion of the face plate, and I think three on the bottom . The face plate extends from Light switch on left to radio on right. You may have to tilt the steering wheel column down to remove the face plate from around the steering wheel. From what I remember, the only thing that needs to be unplugged from the face plate is the plug for the rear defroster. Also, there are clips that hold the face plate in place. They just push in and out. Once the face plate is off, you can get to the radio mounting screws.
