There is no drain plug. you must undo all the bolts holding the pan in place. After the first few bolts the fluid will start leaking out so have a drainpan under it

Check your fluid level ensuring it is full of fluid. If the level is right, what color is the fluid? Bright red is good. Darker red to real dark is not good. If fluid is dirty, you will need to pull the pan, draining the fluid. While drining the fluid from the pan, check for metal shavings and residue. If there is not a lot of residue in the pan or around the magnet, pull the filter. Make sure you pull the o ring out of the tube where the filter plugs into the valve body (A new one comes with the new filter).

Replace the filter with a new one, put gasket on pan, mount it all back together, and refill with fluid.

Good luck.

Where is the transmission fluid drain plug on 1993 ford tempo

look on your transmission oil pan if their is not a plug on the pan itself then what your gonna have to do is just take the pan off which means you need to go to your local automotive store and get a new pan seal and while your at it should get a new filter and replace it while you have the pan off.

There is no drain plug on an automatic, you have to take off your transmissions oil pan and have a new gasket in hand or it will leak when you put it back on.

Cannot locate position in motor to replace gear box oil; in 1993 5 gear manual toyota celica

  • You don't have a dip stick on this car. You have to go underneath the car and on the transmission you will see two plugs, one on top of the other. The one on top is the fill. The one on the bottom is the drain plug.

  1. To fill it you need a funnel with a hose on it.
  2. Remove the fill plug (top) and fill the transmission just until the gear lube barely seeps out and replug it.
  3. This is now the properly filled.
  4. Plug the fill hole back up.

  1. If you get a container and put it under the drain plug on the transmission and pull the top fill plug FIRST and then the bottom drain plug and let all the gear lube run out.
  2. Now plug the drain hole and fill the transmission till it seeps out.
  3. Now plug the fill hole.
  4. You just did a transmission flush on your vehicle and saved yourself $75usd shop charge.

Where is the transfer case located, to drain and refill transmission fluid, on a 1993 Ford Explorer 4X4?

It is located under the truck, it is attached to the back side of the transmission, the rear drive shaft goesinto it. to drain it there is a plug on the bottom end of it, usually above the skid plate. to refill it there is another plug above the drain and to the right.

You have to check under the Vehicle and locate the Fluid Check/Fill hole and plug on the Side of the transmission. Check your owners manual for the proper Fluid Type to use.

How to change transmission oil on a 1993 ford f250 diesel 5 speed?

Fluid - M/T: Fluid Type Specifications
The manual transmission models M50D; Borg-Warner T-18 and ZF model S5-42 each use Motorcraft MERCON© Multi-Purpose Automatic
Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or DDX (ESP-M2C166-H) or equivalent.

There should be a drain plug near the bottom of the transmission, the plug should be removed by inserting a 3/8" ratchet in the hole on the plug. Drain the oil.

There should be a similar plug higher on the transmission case, remove this and fill from there.
