try unhooking the battery to see if resetting the body computer helps. low batteries and poor connections at the battery can cause weird problems like this

You need to remove all the skrews from the door. Normaly there is one in the handle of the door, one behind the in door lach handel and one under the bump out for the arm rest on the door. Than you need to take a flat head skrew driver slowly priying the panel off. There are plastic clips on the backside of the panel it is ok if you brake a few.

6.5" in all the doors dash is wierd. 2.75" but i have been able to squeez in a 3.5"

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The accordion type plastic housing that moves with the gear shift is broke. What is that part called, and how do I replace it?

I assume you mean the pieces that slide along with your automatic transmission's shifter? Those are called blinds, they're part of your shifter bezel.

1995 Jeep grand cherokee limited, 5.2, all time 4x4. I have discovered two 6 pronged connectors under the steering column coming from the same harness, they will connect to each other and the wire colors...

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD. I removed the dash to replace the blend door in the HVAC assembly. I got the blend door replaced and when I put it back together the overhead console and the center electronic information center does not work. I have two black connectors I could not remember where they hooked up at and believe this is the reason why the overhead console and electronic information console are not working. the driver information center(DIC) is telling you one or more of your rear light bulbs has failed. it could be a tail light,stop light,center high mount stop light,turn signal or license plate light. have someone in the vehicle turn the lights on and hit the brakes and turn signals so you can see which one is burned out.
