Try to see past the slave hose and bleeder to see if you can see the slave work. Could it be stuck in the depressed position? Have a helper push the pedal while you watch. I think your tranny is broke.

SOURCE: 96 escort manual 5 speed stuck in reverse

Is the stick moving? or is it 'stuck' in the reverse position as well? There are adjustments but it seems more likely that your 'stick' has come unstuck from the gear levers that actually put the gears in the right spot. Have someone look at the transmission while you move the stick to see if the levers are moving and put your response here.

SOURCE: how to change transmission oil on a 1993 ford f250

Fluid - M/T: Fluid Type Specifications
The manual transmission models M50D; Borg-Warner T-18 and ZF model S5-42 each use Motorcraft MERCON© Multi-Purpose Automatic
Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or DDX (ESP-M2C166-H) or equivalent.

There should be a drain plug near the bottom of the transmission, the plug should be removed by inserting a 3/8" ratchet in the hole on the plug. Drain the oil.

There should be a similar plug higher on the transmission case, remove this and fill from there.

SOURCE: 1992 Ford F250. The clutch pedal will not release

you need to blead out the clutch cylinder, same as brakes get someone to pump the clutch pedal up and down and then hold the peddle down and crack the bleader screw on the clutch slave cylinder.do this until all the air is out .If this does not work then you need to replace the clutch.

DONT USE GEAR OIL IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. it will blow your seals out. the gear oil is too heavy and will block passages in the tranny

My 1991 ford f250 5 litre 5-speed 4x4 has a problem with the clutch slipping all of a sudden ,after lending to a driver with heavy clutch use habits, can i adjust clutch to get more grip back?

Check to see if you have a rear main seal leak (oil leak) best thing is not to lend it to that driver again unless they pay for it to be fixed

Can clutch pedal be adjusted?

The first thing I would do is to replace the master cylinder as the compensating port may be blocked causing this problem. It is an indication of a worn clutch but having this problem at my expense I learnt to do the cheap fix first as clutch kits are worth about 5 times the price of a m/cyl.. Normally hydraulic clutches are not adjustable

My 1992 Ford F250 pickup when you push in the clutch it doesnt disengage the gears and doesnt shift. Is there a adjustment to tighten up the clutch pedal

Those clutches aren't adjustable at all. Sounds to me like either the Clutch Master Cylinder is bad (or could even need fluid) or the Slave Cylinder is bad. If it needs fluid there's possibly a leak between the 2.

My 1991 ford f250 deisel runs warm and pushes

Three possibilities are clogged oil cooler (most likely as you only said while towing) bad fan clutch (easiest to try first) or bad head gaskets.

1996 f250 5 speed manual. Clutch must be to the floor before I can get it into gear. Is this normal?

No, your clutch is controlled by a slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. Check your clutch master cylinders fluid level first, if its high, your clutch is starting to wear down. Next, on the bottom of your transmission there will be an inspection cover, remove and check with a suitable flashlight if the clutch slave cylinder is leaking, if so, replace both clutch master cylinder and cslave cylinder. Stay away from slave cylinders that you have to build yourself such as those at autozone! Bleeding of these components will be required.
