SOURCE: audi a3 Snap on Fault diagnosed as drivers side

Check for crash sensor on the driver-side fender, is it loose? if so with key off tighten it the crash sensor is made of a metal ring that is magnetized and has a metal ball in it when you hit something on the side the steel ball leaves the unarmed position to the armed position, called an accelerometer this is one of three things that has to be met before arming air bag, so check the connection and tightness, if you can't see a visible problem I can give yo a site to go to that can help you diagnose this for $20.00, but is to dangerous for me to put here in open forum so it is best you talk to air bag experts. If you want it just post it here. Remember it could cause unexpected air bag deployment.

SOURCE: Hazard light and interior lights problem on 2001 A3

the indicator lights flashing constantly might be a warning from the car that all the doors have not been closed properly

after writing this ^^ i think that the system that tells the car if the door is open or closed it damaged or broken
and needs replacing

try leaving all the doors open and lock the car do the indicator lights flash contantly?

you need to get a dianostics done but due to the reson that it is intermmitant the problem will not exist when you get to the garage

check all the sensors that tell the car if the door is open firstly

SOURCE: A3 audi sports line fault

It's an 02 sensor (oxygen sensor) fault. One if your 02 sensors is bad and/or catalytic converter is bad.

2006 audi A6 ESP light problem ESP light comes

A good place to start is the brake light switch.
There are 2 circuits in there: 1 for the brake lights and the other for the car computer (ESP, Engine brake etc...)
If the brake switch has an intermittent fault, the EPS light may come on and the car may run rough until you stop the vehicle and remove the key. It then re-set itself until the next time you are using the brakes and the fault appears again.

How do I fix the ESP dash warning

You would need a scan tool connected to the vehicle to clear the warning but there is no point unless the issue causing the fault light has been rectified. Without the fault being identified correctly and fixed the warning will come back on next time you drive the car.

The ESP light on my AudiA3 stays on

The ESP system means the Electronic Stability Program. If the ESP lights on the dashboard permanently the ESP system is faulty.
You should access the ESP Electronic Control Unit (ECU) memory for pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car. Then you will be full informed about bad pieces (e.g.: brake pedal switch, front right wheel abs sensor interrupted, ...). After bad pieces replacement you will be able to erase all faults memored by ESP ECU, in other words reset the ESP system and turn off the warning lamp on dashboard.

Check & replace if necessary the brake pedal switch placed above pedals on the support.

If the problem still occurs you should access the ABS & ESP ECU (Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored.
Then you will be able to replace bad piece(s) and fix the problem by erasing all DTC stocked inside ABS & ESP ECU, and reset it.

Esp light flashing

There could be one or more of several reasons why the ESP light has illuminated on your Smart car...
For example, you could have a fault with dirty reluctor rings on the Abs system - faulty Abs sensor/ s ... a fault with the brake light switch - a fault with the steering angle sensor -- even a software glitch / issue in the control system...
The above are known issues that can and do cause the Esp light to come on.
What you will have to do is have the car connected to a dealer diagnostic machine - This will run a full diagnostic test and fault code read - to see why the Esp light has come on and quickly and efficiently find the right cause - and then it can be sorted out, whatever it transpires to be.
You really cannot do much on a Diy basis on these for this fault. You can check the reluctor rings as mentioned above and the wiring to the ABS sensors. The abs light will often come on to with the Esp light - but not always. Dont check these these things with the Ign On....
Too, you can check to see if the brake lights are working - if they are not - thats a definite indication of brake lamp switch failure which will cause the Esp light to come on - but while its worth checking - even if the lights do work - it doesn't always follow the switch is ok - it has a dual function - brake lights and engine management circuitry...
At which point, if you have found nothing - you will have to have the diagnostic done as above to find the fault.

I have a 2000 Audi TT Quattro (180). Both my ABS and ESP light were on. I took it to my local garage who replaced a front wheel sensor which eliminated the ABS light. After a 30 mile drive the ESP light...

Check bearing and joint/knuckle on every wheel and even on the drive shafts, if there is lack/knocking, that could cause abs and esp light, because sensor doesnt give right information and ecu only records sensor fault but doesnt say why the infromation is wrong.
They changed the sensor but didnt solve the cause!!!

TOURAN ESP LIGHT ON AT DASHBOARD

This is common problem with many vw's
Sounds silly but change the brake light switch under brake pedal.
Often solves the problem (about £8 for switch) will need the light turning out by diagnostic tool.
