The '94 Buick Park Avenue has a power trunk release function. The trunk release actuator receives power from the trunk release relay which is supplied by Fuse 2 (15A) in the Relay Center. It's important to note that the trunk release switch in the glove box must be ON for the trunk release button to work. The vehicle must also be placed into the Park or Neutral positions for the release function to be enabled. If the fuse is OK, there could be an issue with one of the switches, wiring or the trunk latch actuator. You can read about failing trunk latch actuator symptoms here: https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-trunk-latch
{wmstalk} I'm looking for the fuse for the trunk for a 94 park ave my trunk lid won't shut and I believe its the fuse I show I have no power to the trunk. If you could please help me and let me know witch fuse box that would be would be a great help thanks!!!
If the battery is ok (you did a load test?) and all is well without the fuse being in, then there is still an unusual draw, which is measured in amps, not volts - use an ammeter inline with the fuse. One of the most common causes of this problem is a light that won't shut off the way it is supposed to, such as the underhood service light or the trunk light. Any short would blow the fuse.
There is no drain plug. For the leaks be certain to investigate: sunroof drains, taillight seals, and the trunk seal. Many trunk seals actually channel water into the trunk. New designs are available on many GMs.
Find another 91-95 Park Avenue at your local salvage yard...or call on line or contact to reach on-line salvage yards...you can purchase just the latch...(as you know it is designed to be an automatic pull-down...This is an easy switch out...the latch will be $20-45. I have one at home:) Hope this helps.
GET A GOOD FUSE TESTER TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH. TEST EVERY FUSE. 2 FUSEBOXES ONE UNDER THE HOOD, ONE INSIDE THE CAR. FUSES CAN BE TESTED WHILE IN THE BOX. FUSES HAVE TEST POINTS FACING OUT. POWER ON ONE SIDE, BAD FUSE, POWER ON BOTH SIDES, GOOD FUSE POWER ON NEITHER SIDE, SPARE FUSE.
