Depends if it's on of off the car. much easier off; then you don't push alol that air into the system...

i would have to say to check for a relay in your fuse boxes for power steering pressre switch or it may have its own police pkgs have a lot of relays due to all the extras

SOURCE: bad coil pack on crown vic

well if you have checked the spark plugs and they look good then its probly the coil If the plugs have never been replaced i would start with a tune up and see if this fixes the problem. If not there is no good way for you to test it you would need a computer to hook up to the car

2006 crown Vic police interceptor former police

The police package interceptors had a common problem with the fans seizing up. There was a TSB ford released to correct the issue which called for the replacement of the electric fan assembly with an updated fan assembly.

What is the round thing that screws into the side of the master cylinder on a 96 crown vic? and does it have anything with it not having any brakes at all ?

THAT WOULD BE THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATER did you bleed the whole system from the master cylinder to portionion valve to all the wheels right/r then left/r to front/r to left/f in that sequence .and make sure at every step you never let master cylinder go empty .

How do I find out weather my 1997 mercury G.M. is the one with the police package

Info is a little fuzzy, but here are some solid clues.
The 6th and 7th digits of the VIN should be 71 or 72 if it is a police or taxi model.
It should have a certified 140 mph speedometer and full set of gauges like the Crown Vic.
Very few Grand Marquis models were built with the 71 or 72 package because Grand Marquis was not sold to fleets like Crown Vics were.
I would be surprised if you found a hand full of any year after 1995 in the USA still on the road. The 2003-2004 Marauder would be the exception but they are rare too.

On my 96 Suzuki intruder 1400 I rebuilt the master brake cylinder, but I'm having trouble bleeding the brakes. They're still spongy no master what I do. Any suggestions are welcome.

Did you Bench Bleed the Master Cylinder before you installed it?

You have to work the AIR out of the system all the way down to the Wheels.. I did this once and it took me over 3 hours of Bleeding to get this done... Sorry

1995 ford powerstroke replaced rear brake pads, hardware, drums, and master cylinder after much bleeding it stops but at standstill with brake pedal pressed the pedal begins to drop

OK, did you bench bleed the master cylinder before installing? If not, the warranty will be void, and the pedal will drop even if the rest of the hydraulic system is sealed.
I would try another new master cylinder if the bench bleeding was not performed and the master cylinder was deemed to be damaged.

If the master cylinder was bench bled, and it does this, maybe you can get it replaced with a new one under warranty.

Good luck on this repair.
