My truck will not start. Had this problem a few days ago and was able to press the inertia switch and it started. Now it will not start even after pressing the inertia switch.

The switch is located at the top of the clutch pedal assembly, above your feet. Its a little cramped, but its a simple dc two wire switch, you should be able to check it with a meter for power and to see if the switch does indeed need replacement. If thats the problem, when you see the new switch, you'll know it goes in, very easy. good luck

I agree jrk. pull your filter first and blow back through it. See if you see any sediment/dirt, etc. I should have thought of that first. Sort of makes sense if you left it over night and it fired well and ran. Perhaps as you were driving some dirt and such has clogged the filter. There will be some pressure release once the car sits for a while despite it always having pressure. Need one of those sissors style fuel release tools. Take a towel and be careful, there will be gas. If no avail, chances are jrk is right with the pump.

Replace the switch.Yes they can be faulty. If that doesn't solve the problem then your fuel pump is causing it to trip out.change the fuel pump.good luck.

remember the switch only gets power for 1 second when u turn the key on, the common problem is the ignition starter switch comes apart, it is located at top of the steering column near the bottom, drop the column down (2 nuts) and inspect the switch for separation.
