There are small wire clips in the fittings recessed in the grooves. Remove the clips and the line will pull out. There are o-rings in the fittings for sealing the lines. If you need a clearer picture of how they work, go to a parts place and they will show you a fitting off the shelf to look at. Reassembly is easy. Just reinstall the clip first, and push the line into the fitting till it clicks.

96 blazer struggles to go in reverse

  1. You may try changing your trans filter and fluid or just checking it, if the fluid looks brown in color and smells bad you are looking to replace or rebuild your tranny.

Brake issues on 1996 Chevy Blazer

You should check your vacuum lines make sure they are all connected plus the line you keep disconnecting is collasping onto its self which in turn will make the brakes stick so you must have one of the ends plugged.

Do I pull trans with engine to do engine change out

well pulling motor and tranny would make it easier in respect to fighting with the tranny bolts but in order to get the tranny and motor out one shot you need a good 2 to 3 feet clearness of the ground and will need to take the radiator and support out to get it out.

tranny bolts aren't that bad except for the top one and if the tranny mount is removed and the tranny hanging down you can get at it with a long extension.

i do it that way because i have a lift and air tools. not sure what you have and what your capable of but it will depend on you situation what is the best way!

if i was doing it on the ground i may take it all out one shot!

good luck man. please ask any more question you have

1996 blazer surges between gears when warms up shifts fine .

Better check the tranny oil. If it's up to level, then change the oil and filter in the transmission.
